Before launch: fill in the [bracketed] details and check every section matches how you run Bloomwell. This is a starting template, not legal advice. For peace of mind, have it reviewed once.
Bloomwell (“we”, “us”) respects your privacy. This policy explains what personal information we collect, why, and how we protect it, in line with South Africa’s Protection of Personal Information Act (POPIA).
Who we are
Bloomwell is operated by [your full name or registered business name], [registration number if registered], based in [city], South Africa. Our Information Officer is [name], reachable at bloomwell01@gmail.com.
What we collect
- Order details: your name, email, phone number and delivery address.
- Gift details: the recipient’s name, phone number, address and your card message, if you send a gift.
- Messages: anything you send us by WhatsApp, email or social media.
We do not collect or store your card or banking details. Payments are processed by Payfast on their own secure page.
Why we use it
- To pack, deliver and support your order.
- To send order confirmations and delivery updates.
- To send news and offers, only if you’ve agreed to receive them. You can opt out at any time.
Who we share it with
Only the service providers we need to run the shop: Payfast (payments), [courier name] (delivery), and our email and messaging providers. We never sell your information.
How long we keep it
We keep order records for as long as South African tax law requires (currently five years).
Your rights
You may ask to see, correct or delete the personal information we hold about you, or object to how we use it. Email bloomwell01@gmail.com. If you’re unhappy with our response, you can complain to the Information Regulator.
Cookies
Our site remembers your cart in your own browser so it’s still there when you come back. If you say yes to our cookie notice, we also use Google Analytics and the Meta Pixel to see which pages and social posts help people find us. These tools receive information like the pages you visit and whether you placed an order, but never your card details. You can say no and the shop works exactly the same. [Remove the tools you don’t use.]
